SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Hello. I'm doing great.

BlondAngel14: Justin-what advice would you give a teen waiting to be an actress?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Go with your goals. Don't give up. You've got to understand that you won't get every job, so keep with it.

MODERATOR: Good advice!

2EZ2Bleave: Have people started recognizing you on the street yet?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes. In the mall...there's actually a huge picture of the cast. People walk by the picture, look at me, it's pretty funny. It's pretty cool.

Doe Berrick: How do you juggle between school and your acting career? Do you have a tutor?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: There's a tutor on the set. Teachers (public school) give me the work. I do it like a regular kid. When I'm not filming, I go back to school. If there are 30 weeks in a school year...I'm out for 8 weeks.

iluvjustinb: Justin-how do you like doing Malcolm in the middle?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Everyone is cool on the show. It's a great cast. They're fun to be around.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Me, Frankie and Eric are in the same school when we do our schoolwork, so we talk all the time. Brian and Jane are really cool. The whole cast is great. We joke around, talk and eat lunch together.

Doe Berrick: Justin...do u have a role model? Who is your favorite actor?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I don't think I really have a role model. I look up to my parents and my grandparents.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: (thinking about favorite actor)

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I like Jim Carrey. He's a funny guy. He looks like he'd be a great person to meet.

KingAss: Justin, do u still have contact with any of the cast members from your old show?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Sometimes. I just talked to the director. I talked to Kevin Connolly a few months after the show ended. That's about it. I mostly talk to the crew members, because I see them on the set of Malcolm or around the lot.

FrankiemunizGirl: justin hi!!!!!! what has been your favorite episode of Malcolm In The Middle?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Frankiemunizgirl.... I like "Francis Escapes." That was funny. "Lois vs. Evil" - Frankie and I were playing this vacuum and we got soap all over us. That was a great show to do. There's a show coming up in May... "The Cheerleader" - Instead of joining the football team to get this girl, I join the cheerleading squad.

iluvjustinb: What do you think of the name Reese?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I like Reese's Pieces. I don't know. It's just a name I guess. I guess it's a cool name.

Jewel6000: Are you thinking of doing any new movies soon?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Not that I know of. I've gone on a few movies, but one of them interfered with my work schedule. But, hopefully I can do one.

JBfanmitmfg11MC17: Hi justin what is your age on the show

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: There's really no set age. I can't really answer that. The producer doesn't want to give an age. It keeps us open. This way I can do many different things. The possibilities are endless.

iluvjustinb: Justin what state do you live in?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: California. It's a great state.

2EZ2Bleave: Do you use the Internet a lot?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes, at least once/day. I chat with my friends, check out home pages, chats, I research for schoolwork. I actually use it for school, though I try not to.

2EZ2Bleave: Do you have a favorite fan page? Or an Internet site you like?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: AT&T all the way!

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I like wrestling, so any pages that are related to wrestling are cool.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I've been sent links to pages about me. I think they're pretty cool. Some of them have a lot of information on me.

BlondAngel14: Justin do you have a girlfriend?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: No I don't. I'm keeping my options open.

JBfanmitmfg11MC17: hi what's your favorite band and what kind of music do you listen to?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I listen to rap. I like Dr. Dre and Eminem, Jay-Z. I like DMX. Most of the CD's are in my brother's car - even though I pay for them.

FrankiemunizGirl: justin what's your favorite movie?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Deuce Bigalow and American Pie. They're funny movies. I don't really like dramas. I like to have a good laugh.

iluvjustinb: What sports do you like?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Football and basketball. I don't really play any sports because I don't have time. I can't really do any sports where I could get injured, because then I wouldn't be able to do the show.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: At school...everyday at lunch we play football. At home...I ride my bike and rollerblade.

iluvjustinb: Do you have any siblings?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes. I have a 17-year old brother. His name is Lorne.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: We get along sometimes. We fight a lot, but we have respect for each other.

JBfanmitmfg11MC17: Justin- do you have any kind of pets?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes. Many. I have dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles and a pig. I used to have a horse.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I live on a mini-farm. It's not very big. It's not an actual working farm. When people say farm, they think of a huge piece of land. It doesn't really look like a farm. It's like a horse neighborhood.

bbumble: which pet is the hardest to take care of?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: The hardest are the dogs. I have four of them. I've got 3 Pugs and a mini Pinscher. Their names are Star, Lucky, Miss Piggy and Bugsy.

KingAss: Justin, who is your favorite wwf wrestling personality?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: The Rock!

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: He's funny. I also like Too Cool and all of them. Rakishi is very funny.

iluvjustinb: Do you see your friends a lot?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: When I'm at school I do. On the weekends I do. Sometimes I miss them, but when we're at school we hangout and play games. I usually don't get home til late when we're filming, so it's hard to see them because they're doing homework and going to bed. I usually want to go to sleep when I get home from filming.

FrankiemunizGirl: what kind of car do you want? (when you get one)?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I want a Dodge Durango. My Mom is saying NO! because they are so expensive. I sat inside one....they are so cool inside..

Bilkev: Justin, great job on the show ! What is your favorite thing to do on a well deserved day off?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Thank you.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: If I have a day off, which is usually the weekends...I like to hangout with my friends or go to Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain is a place in California with rollercoasters. I lik to go fishing. We have our own boat, so we try and go as often as we can. It's been raining a lot lately, so not too much action. That's about it.

LiQUiD KiD: What is the best thing about working on MitM

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: The cast is great. It's a funny show. You can work on a show, but if the cast isn't nice and you problems, then it's not fun. Everyone's great. We have a great time.

bbumble: Justin, could you spend a minute and chat about some of the recent charity work you've done? I know you've worked with sick children in the past.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I do the Ronald McDonald Halloween Carnival for sick kids every year. I did the AIDS run in Long Beach, California. I mostly do the Ronald McDonald stuff...the Christmas party and the Halloween party. I do that every year.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes, it's great. I like meeting the kids, signing autographs, we get candy, go on the rides and stuff like that.

BlondAngel14: Justin-Do you think fame has changed you in any way?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I don't think so. I'm still the same kid. I've got the same friends.

iluvjustinb: What is your favorite color?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Red. I have no idea why, but I have red shirts. If I have to color something, it's always red.

iluvjustinb: What is your fave day of the week?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Fridays....because you get out of school!!! It's the day everyone hangs out at the local places. It's a great day to get out of school. You get to stay up late and then sleep-in on Saturday morning.

JBfanmitmfg11MC17: Justin do you send or autogrhed pictures?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes. I send about 7 autographs per day. I mail them out. My Mom drives me around, but I do them by myself. I mail them at the mailbox before school.

dcb499: Do you ever read the MitM forums?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Every once in a while. LOL. Some of the post are pretty funny. I like the rumor about me losing my toe. They said it got cut off a year ago. It's not true!

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I can't believe emailed me and said "did you know that you lost your toe?" I wanted to know what was going on. Someone said Reese doesn't go barefoot anymore because he lost his toe. I thought that was pretty funny.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: How does someone think of that?

LiQUiD KiD: Yea of course the thing about your toe is not true, but do you have any other interesting facts about yourself?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Hhhmm...I don't know. LOL

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Interesting facts? My dogs littered puppies and I delivered them.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: It was interesting. We planned it. They're really cute actually. She was about to have them and I helped deliver them. I whelped them.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: It was pretty cool. There wasn't really a lot of blood...just ooze! It was green.

MODERATOR: Back to the school issue.....

iluvjustinb: Do you get good grades?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Umm...actually, yeah I do. I have all B's. That's good...for me.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: My mom yells at me if I don't.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Usually I get my TV, computer or both taken away if I don't do well. My Sega DreamCast gets taken away too. If I get a bad grade, it's not a fun house to be in.

2EZ2Bleave: Are you planning on college, or will that wait until you see how far acting takes you?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I plan to go to college. I'd like to be a veterinarian. I want to go to UC-Davis and be a vet.

LiQUiD KiD: Justin who do you look up to the most in your life?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: My parents and grandparents. They're the ones who helped my career by driving me to interviews. They supported me. I'm pretty good friends with my parents.

BlondAngel14: Justin-What is your idea of the perfect girl?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: LOL.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: OK. They have to like animals. I like brown hair. They have to be down to earth, nice and have a sense of humor. I'm really short, so I guess they've gotta be my height, which I'm not commenting on.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Alright...I don't know for a fact...but I'm somewhere around 5'1 and 1/2.

BlondAngel14: Justin-Would you ever have a long distance relationship?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: How long is the distance?

BlondAngel14: like new york

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: BlondAngel14 - Sure. Why not?

LiQUiD KiD: Justin you ever get sick of all these anonymous girls asking for your phone number and email like I do??

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I don't really get sick of it. It doesn't really bother me. I like to keep in touch with fans. It's cool talking to them. Most are my age, so we have something in common.

DAYSRNEW: Who influenced u into acting?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I actually had a friend who was an actor. I saw what he was doing, thought it was cool and staring going to interviews. The first interview I went on was a Folger's coffee commercial...I got the job.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: The rest is history. LOL

2EZ2Bleave: Is your Mom your manager? What do you think of other child actors who "divorce" their parents?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: No. Mom is not. How can you divorce your parents?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: They're still your parents, the ones who raised you. I think it's stupid actually.

JBfanmitmfg11MC17: did you get an agent ?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Yes, I have an agent. They're the ones who help me get the jobs. They send me out to interviews.

LiQUiD KiD: Justin if you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I would make myself a little taller. I'm like really short. My Mom is short and my Dad is 5'10/5'11. Hopefully I'll grow. I would like to be 5'10 at least, but 6'5 would be great.

iluvjustinb: How long each week do you spend filming?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Five days a week. 9 and 1/2 hours a day is the longest I can work. By the end of the day, we're usually cramming in scenes. I'm always there as long as I can be.

BlondAngel14: Justin-Would you agree to be on Fanatic(the MTV show)

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I would like to be on that show. I actually watch it.

iluvjustinb: Are you going to be in any upcoming movies?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: No movies in the near future.

2EZ2Bleave: Do you miss anything about being a "normal" teen?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I guess when I go out into public. I'm not really used to having people running up to me and asking me about being "that kid on that show." They never really say the name of the show. It's always "THAT kid on THAT show." I guess I don't really miss anything.

Bilkev: What is your favorite holiday?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Any holiday that gets me out of school!

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: On Easter vacation/Spring Break...I'm going to Cabo San Lucas.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: That will be a great holiday!

BlondAngel14: Justin-What is your fave show on TV

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I like The Tom Green Show. I like all the FOX specials like Wildest Police Chases. Those are great. I love those. I watch Mad-TV every Saturday. Stewart is soooo funny. He's the adult that acts like the baby! It's so funny!

guy12543: Justin is there any way that one of us could be on the show for an episode?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I guess you'd have to go out on an interview if there's a part open. You can be an extra. They hire a lot of extras. That would be the best way. Every episode there's usually extras.

2EZ2Bleave: What do you think of South Park?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: Funny. I used to watch it so much, but now I don't. I don't know why.

bbumble: if you had three wishes, what would you wish for?

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: I guess ... 1st - to get rid of all the sickness and poverty in the world.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: 2nd - I would like a huge fishing boat. I like to fish.

SPEAKER_Justin Berfield: 3rd - Final Wish - I would like to come back as a ghost. It would be pretty cool to be able to go through walls and you could scare people. That would be fun!
